BalustradesTwo J's Metalwork designed, fabricated and installed a bespoke steel staircase, powder-coated balconies and glass balustrades.

01
The Challenge
A residential development needed a complete package of architectural metalwork across three stages of the build: a custom steel staircase built to the architect's detailed design, ten balconies and a balustrade at the rear of the properties.

02
The Solution
Most of the fabrication and assembly was carried out in our workshop, which made installation on site safer, more efficient and less disruptive. The staircase was fully assembled before it left the workshop to check every section fitted. Each balcony was fabricated, assembled and powder coated in the workshop, so it arrived ready for installation with only the final connection to the building required.

03
The Result
The staircase was craned into position and finished with a white-painted steel balustrade. The ten balconies were completed with toughened glass balustrades and aluminium decking with an integrated drainage system. The balustrade at the rear of the properties was powder coated in anthracite grey to match the balconies.
This project is a good example of how careful planning and off-site fabrication can deliver complex metalwork efficiently without compromising on quality. By manufacturing and assembling most of the steelwork in our workshop before delivery, we were able to minimise work on site.
