The aim of this bespoke structural steelwork was to create a framework to support a large set of bifolding doors. The use of steelwork in this build enabled the room to have a clear span. It then avoided the need for unsightly supporting pillars. Which would ultimately give the room a modern, uncluttered feel once decorated. The steelwork here also added strength to the new external walls of the building.
Due to the extremely restrictive access to the site the client requested that our experienced steel erections took over management of the insulation. The heaviest beam weighed 400kg so required a vast amount of man power and planning to install accurately and safely.
Following the detailed risk assessment and method statement whilst guided by CAD drawings the process was carried out without an issue.
