Project Overview
Two J’s Metalwork recently completed the fabrication, delivery and installation of structural steelwork for a construction project in Wimbledon.
From the initial fabrication through to the final installation on site, our team managed every stage of the process in-house. This allowed us to maintain complete control over quality, ensuring the steelwork was manufactured to the required specification and delivered ready for installation.
Once fabrication was complete, the steelwork was transported to London using our own truck, where our experienced fitting team installed the structure on site over several days.
Steel Fabrication Completed In-House
All steelwork for this project was fabricated at our own workshop by our skilled fabrication team. Keeping the work in-house means we can carefully monitor every stage of production, ensuring accuracy, quality and attention to detail from start to finish.

Two Different Steel Finishes for Different Environments
For this project, two different protective finishes were used depending on where the steelwork would be positioned within the building.
The internal steelwork was finished with a zinc phosphate primer, which provides protection for steel that remains inside the building. The red finish helps identify the internally located steel and provides a durable base layer of protection.
The external steelwork was galvanised, giving it its distinctive silver finish. Galvanising provides a highly effective barrier against corrosion, making it the ideal choice for steel that will be exposed to outdoor conditions and the elements.
Using the correct finish for each area helps ensure the steel remains protected and performs well for years to come.
Delivery and On-Site Installation
After fabrication and finishing were completed, the steelwork was carefully loaded and transported to the London site using our own vehicle.
Our experienced installation team then carried out the fitting work on site, working efficiently over several days to complete the installation safely and accurately.
By handling both the fabrication and installation ourselves, we were able to provide a seamless service from the workshop through to completion.
